Take a hands-on artistic journey exploring a variety of techniques to express your creativity! In these workshops, you will work with semi-abstract painting, watercolor, and collage, combining different mediums to create unique pieces of art. No prior experience is needed—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, these classes offer a fun and relaxing way to explore your creative side!
Mareike Hilgenberg is an artist and art therapist. Originally from Germany, she relocated to the U.S. in July 2024 and has since become a member of the McLean Art Society. Her work was featured in the Society’s February 2025 exhibition.
Mareike has taught a variety of art classes in private settings, focusing on creative expression, personal development and relaxing through art. She is passionate about integrating relaxing techniques into her classes, drawing on her training and artistic background to support individuals in their self-discovery process.
Her paintings have been exhibited in Germany and the U.S. Mareike’s artistic practice is centered on using various mediums to explore themes of personal transformation, relaxing, healing, and self-expression.
