Ruth Altheim brings a substantial business background and a longstanding interest in the arts to her new position on the Falls Church Arts Board of Directors.
Her corporate career in the advertising, licensing, marketing and publishing industries in New York and Los Angeles included ten years at Universal Studies and The Hollywood Reporter. Her expertise was financial management and the integration of computerized financial systems.
She moved from California to Virginia in 1997. In 2017, after she and her husband retired, she became acquainted with Falls Church Arts while her husband was a resident of the Kensington.
