Light through Capiz

Growing up in Manila, I was surrounded by capiz in light and living spaces. Inspired by a single capiz’s layered texture and its luminosity, I used acrylic layers, textured lines, and shifting blue and gold tones to explore reflected light, surface memory, and the relationship between sea and structure.
