This demonstration will cover general pointers for recording your art process for your digital portfolio, including how to compile images over time and create GIF videos to show a work’s evolution. Using Adobe Photoshop, John Ballou will demonstrate the basics of alignment, color correction, and other tools that will allow you to produce images in various file formats. He will also offer suggestions on other programs that can be used to create GIF videos. Several camera formats will be demonstrated and discussed. If you can, bring a laptop and artwork you wish to document and format.

Class size is limited to 10.

John Ballou taught art, design and technology (maker space and robotics) at what once was George Mason High School. Now retired, he currently walks to his studio across town most days to paint in oils and record his progress for his website, ballouworks.com.
