This class will be an introduction into the history and techniques of paper filigree or quilling. Learning about its origins in ancient times to the present artistry. This is also an introduction to using tools of the trade and basic quilling techniques. Students will make a small ornament as a takeaway from this class.

Stephanie McGee is a local artist who works almost primarily in paper filigree enhanced by 3-D collage. She has worked in this art form for over 14 years and loves to instruct others to spread the interest and appreciation for this unique art technique.
