Join Teresa Oaxaca for an immersive day of floral painting from life! In this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to observe, interpret, and render beautiful flowers with confidence and expressive color.
We’ll focus on:
• Drawing and composition — setting up your floral arrangement for the strongest impact
• Color mixing and value relationships — understanding how to capture hue, light, and depth
• Brushwork and mark-making techniques that bring petals and foliage to life
• Creative process strategies to help you make artistic choices with clarity
Fresh flowers will be provided so you can paint directly from life. You’ll watch a live demonstration where your instructor will walk you through how she sees, chooses, and paints flowers step-by-step, explaining key decisions as the piece evolves. Then it’s your turn — with plenty of guidance, Q&A, and constructive feedback to support your painting.
Whether you’re new to floral painting or want to deepen your understanding of observation and color, this workshop will help you grow your skills and confidence.
