Flemish painting has had a significant impact on the development of art and continues to be admired for its technical skill and depth of expression. During the course, we will become familiar with the unique methodology of the Golden Age of Dutch/Flemish painting. From the process of copying paintings by old masters, we will move on to mastering their secrets and creating our own canvases using the Flemish technique. Students will learn to analyze the finished works of master painters such as Jan Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Vermeer, and others.
