Md. Tayabuzzaman Khan
Mr. Khan is a graduate of the Ceramic Department, Institute of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. He established a full-service studio in Bangladesh in 1990, called “Burnt Clay,” where people could work with various art media. He strives to bring the old form of traditional art into a modern form to make it more relevant for today’s taste.
His terracotta work has been shown internationally, including in the United States, Canada, Australia, China, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Qatar, India, Mongolia, and the United Kingdom. He was the first to offer Clay Art Therapy (CAT) designed to improve mental health conditions for people in Bangladesh, and his Burnt Clay studios continue to offer clay art therapy. read more…
