During this workshop, national award-winning pastelist Bryan Jernigan will lead students through:

Bryan Jernigan

Nationally known pastelist and instructor Bryan Jernigan has been working in pastels for more than 15 years. With a career spanning three decades, Jernigan’s artistry has flourished in pastel landscapes and still life, acrylic abstraction, and representation in oil.

Jernigan honed his skills at Oklahoma State University and Drake University and then spent 25 years in graphic design and association communications in Washington, D.C.

Jernigan travels the world and always takes his camera to capture the breathtaking beauty of the places he sees. He blends realism and abstraction to create impressionistic landscape and still life painting that have found homes in numerous public and private collections nationwide and overseas.

Jernigan is a highly sought-after workshop instructor, offering formal art education and the invaluable experience he has gained from years of practice. He’s recently released several free eGuides to pastel painting and continues to work with artists via vacation workshops to places as diverse as Mexico, France, and Spain.one day
