Through step-by-step guidance, students will learn the fundamentals of colored pencil techniques, including layering, blending, creating texture, developing depth, and achieving realistic details- all while working on a subject they have chosen and love. The goal is to make class both educational and inspiring, helping beginners develop their skills and discover their own artistic voice in an inspiring environment.
Marjan Morravej is a self-taught artist who has been painting for more than 30 years, working primarily in colored pencils and watercolor. She has received awards in international juried art competition for her colored pencils and watercolor works. “Animals have always been my greatest muse and source of inspiration. I love capturing their beauty, character, and emotions through detailed, realistic artwork. For me, painting animals is more than creating an image – it is a way of connecting with the natural world and celebrating the unique spirit of every creature. My passion is to bring animals to life on paper and, through my art, inspire others to appreciate and protect them.”
