In this two-day, weekend workshop, award-winning pastel painter Bryan Jernigan will walk you through the basics of using pastels to communicate your artistic message. From crafting realistic trees to creating convincing beach scenes, this workshop will offer beginning and advanced artists guidance on how to add structures to the landscape and what to keep in mind as you explore this versatile and forgiving medium. There will be a one-hour break for lunch each day.
Please note: Students must have completed vaccination for Covid-19. Falls Church Arts follows the current guidelines for masking, which are updated as needed.
Bryan Jernigan
Bryan Jernigan is an award-winning artist and instructor. He has been teaching pastel for 12 years and focuses his teaching on interpreting and simplifying the landscape.
