Tau

On a meditation retreat in Assisi I was entranced by this wooden Tau and the shadows it cast. The Tau is the symbol of the Franciscans, signifying a friar’s call to live in poverty, chastity and obedience. St. Francis of Assisi used the Tau as his personal sign.
