Instructor: Molly McCracken

Tuesdays | October 4, 11, 18, 25, November 1, 15, 22, 29, December 6, 2022 | 9:00-11:00 am | $225 | Falls Church Arts Gallery (Registration closed)
If you have ever felt stuck, unsure what to make, or afraid to do something “wrong” in your art, this is the class for you. Have fun playing with a variety of mixed media techniques over eight weeks. Explore through process-oriented projects that allow you to combine different materials in unusual and creatively liberating ways. Come with an open mind and a willingness to try something new.
Students must have completed vaccination for Covid-19. Falls Church Arts follows the current guidelines for masking, which are updated as needed.

The very bare minimum supplies for doing mixed media work include a substrate (what you are working on), adhesive (glue), scissors, colorful papers for collaging, and some kind of mark making implement such as a pencil.  For more specifics of things to use and what to look for around your house for this class, click here

Molly McCracken
Molly McCracken’s work focuses primarily on collage, assemblage and acrylic painting in her Arlington, VA studio, though she has never been scared to try all the things. She works with ideas surrounding women, the environment, current events, as well as deep rooted, personal feelings and emotions. Her thoughts are expressed in an intuitive, childlike, often humorous way through process-oriented art. Molly’s inspiration springs from bold colors, interesting shapes, joy, frustration, beauty, anxiety and the wonder in everyday moments. Molly has been an art facilitator/instructor/instigator for toddler through adult age ranges since 2013. Find Molly at www.artistmolly.com and on Instagram @mollys.art.stuff.
