Molly McCracken is an Arlington, VA based artist who works in mixed media collage, assemblage and acrylic painting. She works with emotions and ideas relating to women, the environment, and current events in her process-oriented art. Inspiration springs from bold color, shape, joy, frustration, beauty and wonder. My intention is to bring these issues to light, in a way that is sensitive, visually appealing, potentially humorous, and always thought provoking – both for me as the maker and for the viewer. I encourage people to find a connection with my work, be it through a deeply felt emotion or more simply an appreciation of color and shape.
