“Spreading awareness and appreciation of wild spaces through art” After majoring in Studio Art at George Mason University, I began a career as a graphic designer in 2003. I love design, but my desire to create meaningful work was never quite satiated in my day job, so I continued to draw and paint sporadically in my spare time. In 2020, I decided to make the leap and started my art business, which is currently my “side hustle.” I had officially fallen in love with the landscape and now am painting a variety of landscape subjects using oils, acrylics, graphite, charcoal, watercolor, and ink. My mission is to help spread nature’s beauty and the connection it brings through my art and into peoples’ homes. It is through my art that I find a fulfillment in life that cannot be achieved by any other means. It is a form of meditation, a way to break free. The more I paint, the more I notice the world around me through an artistic lens—the shadows of trees on the water, the multi-colored sky in a dramatic sunset, the glow cast on the mountains in the evening. Through my work, I try to capture the full emotional experience of being in the landscape. There’s nothing like being immersed in nature, looking out at the world and feeling so connected to it. Its that feeling of presence that is so hard to come by sometimes in your daily life, but that we always strive to achieve.
