Ian Graig is a painter, cartoonist, and illustrator in Falls Church, Virginia. He works with both oils and acrylics, often also using newspaper, cardboard, and other materials to provide added depth and texture to his abstract paintings. For his cartoons and illustrations, he works in pencil and charcoal, pen and ink, colored pencil, watercolor, gouache, or oil pastel, depending on the subject. He has drawn political cartoons and caricatures of political and other figures for over thirty years, and has illustrated children’s books, posters, and newsmagazine covers.
