Asia Anderson
Asia is a visual artist who lives in Woodbridge, Virginia. In 2008, she majored in Sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University: School of the Arts. She left school in her junior year and moved to the northern Virginia area. There she became a stay-at-home mom to her two children with her husband. In 2015 she picked up a paintbrush again and taught herself how to use watercolors. She focuses on watercolors, but is skilled with oils, pastels, pencils, acrylics, and fiber arts. When her children were school-aged, she began professionally painting in 2019 and continues to grow today. The subjects of her art often include her loved ones and her everyday environment. She also enjoys nature and elements of that show through her work. Asia has placed 1st and 2nd in shows at Crossroads Art Center in Richmond and Best of Medium at Britepath’s charity event. She can be found at different markets and pop up shops throughout the state, selling her prints and giving paint demos.
