Alexia Scott
Alexia Scott, MFAOver a very long career in art, from painting bones at the Smithsonian to twilight fog on Mt Palomar, there is no greater exhilaration than the landscape. The landscape is ever changing and always inviting me in to paint. I am a pragmatist and have learned that a color can tell a story of time and place. This is the platform that I can use best to express my love of nature and wild places. I have painted in plein air all my life and this gives me the insight to create larger landscape based a little more on my reaction to the landscape than the detailed snapshot of the landscape. I hope you will visit me at alexiapaints.com for stories about paintings and the painting process. Please let me know if you are a Falls Church Arts member.
